Tree for Us (3-ForUs)
Tree for Us is under the Rehabilitation, Restoration, and Conservation pillar, and plays a key role in the rehabilitation of damaged or degrading ecosystems. These ecosystems can vary, ranging all the way from forest reserves and national parks like Bukit Nenas to riverine ecosystems nestled in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, like the Sungai Bunus Retention Pond.
By engaging government authorities, corporate clients, and members of the public, this effort aims to regenerate degraded ecosystems by planting local or native tree species. Each tree planted will be supported by on-the-ground data evaluations and maintenance to ensure their survivability is stable during their first year of life.
By reviving these ecosystems through tree-planting, we do our part against global warming by reducing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Additionally, we also increase our environments biodiversity and create a space for members of the public to use to reconnect with nature and recreation.
