Let’s take a glance at how EcoKnights’ Leadership and Talent Development Program impacted the personal and professional development of our past interns of 2023

I had a great four months as an intern at EcoKnights. I learned a lot from working with people who love what they do. EcoKnights helped me discover new things about myself. Even though I worked from home most of the time, I enjoyed being part of different projects that challenged me. The work culture was friendly and helpful. The team gave me clear guidance and let me make my own decisions and solve problems. I am very thankful and happy for this opportunity from EcoKnights!

Annisa Shabrina
Bachelor of Civil Engineering, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM)

Interning at EcoKnights was such a precious experience for me. What makes EcoKnights one of the perfect places to intern is that they not only focus on the academic side of the students but also on building personalities and skills, which helps the students prepare for the working field. I spent six months of my internship at EcoKnights, where I learned how to manage different projects, make decisions, solve problems, and more. Through this journey, I have learned a lot from the team members, and I am really grateful for them.

Bachelor of Biotechnology (Environment Biotechnology), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM)

My internship at EcoKnights was highly rewarding. I learned about environmental sustainability and worked on various projects like developing a sustainability plan for schools, conducting interviews on water conservation issues, and organizing a tree planting program. I gained knowledge in conducting research and effectively communicating findings to different stakeholders. Additionally, I enhanced my project management skills and felt prepared for future challenges. Working as a team at EcoKnights taught me the importance of collaboration, which was especially valuable as an introvert. I believe that the experience has prepared me for the hustle and bustle of the high-paced working environment I will be venturing into in my future endeavours. At EcoKnights, I learned that working as a team is integral to achieving a common goal.

Mohammad Affiq
Bachelor of Management, Management & Science University (MSU)

As I am passionate about nature and ecological designs, I enjoyed planning and designing the Science Garden project, supported by EcoKnights partner Manulife. Throughout this project, I have learnt project management, ideation and making it into an achievable action plan. Also, as a Japanese student, it was a great experience for me to engage with the indigenous people in Malaysia to have a better understanding on different cultures in Malaysia. I was also entrusted with the task to create an "Impact Driven Framework", which is a mechanism of creating a lasting sustainable impact on local communities. This framework allows to carefully analyze what a community needs and how we can support them. I appreciate all the trust and opportunities during my 3 months of being a team member. The journey was not plain-sailing at EcoKnights, but it was a great learning process. And I am sure that I will make use of this experience for my future.
