16th September 2018, Cheras – On 8th of September 2018, 15 volunteers from Starbucks Malaysia spent their morning with 5 residents from Taman Ikan Emas for community workshop and community garden maintenance under the Starbucks Green Outreach Programme.

The morning started with the Starbucks volunteers working together with the EcoKnights team on garden cleaning and mini staircase reconditioning. A few second-hand tyres were transformed into mini staircase by adding soils and rocks inside to make it more stable.

EcoKnights team members also conducted an eco-enzyme workshop, in which Puan Mariam, co-founder of EcoKnights taught the volunteers and the community on converting orange skins into useful eco-enzyme.Through this workshop, they are able to learn the steps on making eco-enzyme which act as household cleaning agent and having the function to drive the insects away.
