29th November, Seremban and Cheras – The EcoKnights team continued the Nissan Nurtures Nature campaign at the Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) showrooms in Seremban and Cheras Kuala Lumpur. On the 10th & 11th of November, the team visited the Edaran Tan Chong Motor showroom at Seremban, while on the next weekend (17th & 18th), they checked in at the Cheras ETCM showroom. The team conducted DIY Self-watering System Workshop in the showroom in conjunction with the test-drive event.

The objective of this programme is to empower the public on how they can upcycle the unwanted plastic bottles into a practical self-watering system, thus reducing the waste production of their everyday lives. ETCM has shown their full support towards a sustainable lifestyle by collecting mineral bottles for the workshops. They further provided the herb saplings needed during the workshops which are peppermint, thai basil, sweet basil, thyme, and lavender.

There were more than 200 individuals who benefited throughout the two campaigns. Everyone was happy to get a personal self-watering system while looking forward to adding the edible herbs into their cooking recipes in the near future. Many participants have also told the knights that they are motivated to reuse back all the plastic bottles and make their offices and houses full of greens.
