Cooking Oil for Cleaning (C4C)

The disposal of used cooking oil into sinks, drains and rivers leads to some of our drainage challenges such as river pollution, clogged drainage systems and flash floods. To address this issue, it boils down to proper disposal of oil that should be practised by all communities. However, many communities are not fully exposed to the proper methods and channels in ensuring their cooking oil is disposed of properly. EcoKnights will run a collection drive with a community or general public for used cooking oil and conduct training in upcycling the oil into household soaps for the participating community or individuals.

Goal : For every RM5K fundraised, 30 individuals from a community or general public will be taught to make household soaps from their used cooking oil while at least 30L of used cooking oil will be collected to be upcycled.
