Sunday, 23rd September 2018 – Together with forty Starbucks customers and eight Starbucks Malaysia partners, a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Soap Making session was carried out using used cooking oil. Mr Emirul Redzuan of EcoKnights, conducted the session where the participants were briefed on the importance of managing used cooking oil waste and transforming it into soap as a great alternative in upcycling. The participants were guided in an easy step-by-step soap-making process. Starbucks also showed great sustainable initiative from their side by recycling their used milk cartoons to be used as mixing moulds during the soap-making process.
