On the 17th of December, The ASEAN CARES initiative successfully delivered food and hygiene kits, this time reaching out to the refugees and migrants in Malaysia.
Sponsored by 3M, supported by United Way Worldwide and ASEAN Foundation; EcoKnights through our Project BUMI: Meet the Needs initiative, will reach out to 1700 underrepresented communities in Malaysia to aid individuals who are going through food security and hygiene-related crises.
The community kids and adults were also taught proper self-hygiene care such as hand-washing and wearing a face mask via on-site demonstration and public engagement.
The distribution engagement in KL was also attended by ASEAN Foundation Executive Director Dr Yang Mee Eng and EcoKnights Programme Director Fadly Bakhtiar.
Let’s continue to do our part by practising the proper SOPs, so we can keep ourselves and our loved ones healthy.
