16th June 2019 (Sunday) – EcoKnights conducted a Zero Kitchen Waste Workshop at Taman Tugu for the participants to learn more about Black Soldier Fly Composting, which is still a new thing to educate and share with people who are not aware about this composting method. 

The workshop was conducted with the involvement of four participants. The participants were very enthusiastic and keen to learn more during the workshop, and had given lots of feedback and asked good questions, which demonstrated their superb participation in the workshop. EcoKnights shared the information about Black Soldier Fly such as BSF lifecycle from larvae until adult fly, the most favourable conditions to nurture and grow them, and so on. All in all, the workshop was a complete success in terms of engaging the participants’ interest in BSF composting, as well as showing them the positive impacts of composting on the environment. All the participants happily brought back their compost models with smiles on their faces.
