On the 7th of March 2020 (Saturday), together with MBSB Bank, EcoKnights conducted a Cooking Oil for Cleaning (C4C) workshop at Taman Tugu Nursery. A total of 56 employees joined this entertaining and enlightening workshop.

Through the C4C workshop, the employees had a hands-on experience by making their own soap bars using used cooking oil (UCO). This was to allow employees to be exposed to an alternative of managing their used cooking oil, rather than throwing it directly into the sink which in the end, would pose a serious problem of clogging our drainage systems.

Besides that, employees got to bring back their own soap bars along with a door gift (cured household soap bars made from UCO). On top of that, 11.2 litres of UCO was collected from the participants and in return, they were rewarded with 500ml of pre-made liquid soap, specially for those who brought used cooking oil to recycle with EcoKnights.

In this short and simple session that plays a main role in delivering awareness about our environmental issues, we at EcoKnights hope that such an understanding can be well implemented and practiced in our daily life.
