More than 40 green businesses featured over two weekends at the Green Market, PUBLIKA
KUALA LUMPUR (MARCH 8TH 2016) — EcoKnights, a not-for-profit environmental organization, in strategic partnership with The Good Shop and Publika Mall, presents two weekends of green indulgence at the Green Market.
The Green Market will take place over two weekends (19th-20th, and 26th-27th) at Publika Mall and will feature environmental NGOs, green enterprises, community groups and also societies that are promoting causes.
The Green Market promises something for everyone with environmental film screening, talks and workshops, exhibitions, slide-shows and hands-on activities for the pubic.
More than 30 groups and organizations are involved in the Green Market and will be providing free tips and information on everything from energy saving, water conservation and green travel, to permaculture, composting and seed planting.
The aim of the Green Market is to forge links between the green businesses and the wider community, to promote sustainable consumption and production, which is Goal 17 in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ABOUT THE GREEN MARKET
The EcoKnights annual and flagship event, the Green Market is back in full swing for 2016 and is kicking off this March at MAP Publika. Held in conjunction with Publika’s MAPFest and Earth Month celebrations, the Green Market will take place from March 19th (same day as Earth Hour celebrations) till March 27th.
The two weekends Green Market will feature the country’s leading businesses, community groups and vendors covering a range of sustainability themes. The Green Market is a strong advocate for sustainable consumption and production, also known as responsible consumerism, part of the Sustainable Development Goals.
This year’s Green Market has a new partner and addition and will see the collaboration between Publika Mall, EcoKnights and our new friends at The Good Shop, a social enterprise that promotes products and services that make a positive social, cultural and environmental impact in Malaysia.
