Urging River Conservation through Arts and Culture

20th March 2019 (Wednesday) - The Music Video titled “Pemung Jae” sang by Alena Murang, a Sarawak-born international artist have officially launched at Ruang by Think City in conjunction with World Water Day 2019. This is part of the River Of Life project in collaboration with EcoKnights, ERE Consulting Group, and Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS).

The 3-minutes long music video was initiated by Alena Murang with her expression of empathy from the experience in the River Of Life clean-up project. She has ideating to bring arts to connect people’s emotion to the river pollution issue.

River of Life Public Outreach Program (ROLPOP) has strongly supported this initiative. The video has featured some of the ROLPOP log boom clean up and River Explorer Programs. Beside the music video, the video was enhanced with facts and data for educational impact. This video will be used as a public service announcement (PSA) to educate the public on all River Of Life projects and activities in government agencies under the Ministry of Federal Territories.
