A day to be Responsib’ALL Y’all!
Bottled Hope Trail Run is back! Pernod Ricard Malaysia joined forces with EcoKnights, IMB Sumo Eleven and GOVT to launch another Responsib’ALL Day at Simpang Ampat, Melaka on 6th May 2017.
As a part of Responsib’ALL Day for Pernod Ricard Malaysia (PRM), the employees got the opportunity to give back to the community by tree planting and giving basic need supplies to the Orang Asli.
The auspicious event started with a warm speech from the representative of PRM Southern Region, Mr. Phung. Then it was followed by a Zumba session for a warm up and at the same time elevating everyone’s spirit. After the Zumba session, the participants gathered at the flag-off point with Mr. Phung, who later blew air-horns to commence the run.
Despite the 5km trail, the first participants finished less than 20 minutes! It took one hour and half for all the participants to complete the trail. A medal made out of wood was given to the runners when they reached the finish line. They also been given an e-certificate that can be download after a week from the trail run.
After the trail run, PRM distributed the basic needs supplies and wood medals to the Orang Asli. Then, EcoKnights led the tree planting session which took place around the community centre of Bukit Payung, Simpang Ampat. We planted 22 trees of mangosteen, rambutan and nona with Pernord Ricard and Sumo Eleven employees.
When there is a beginning, there will also be an ending. The event ended at 11.30 am and we heading back to Kuala Lumpur. The next Bottled Trail Run will be held at MAEPS, Serdang on 14th May 2017.
