EcoKnights Engages Kenanga Investment Bank for an Internal Earth Month Awareness Program – the Kenanga Earth Month – to Instil Environmental Awareness among Corporate Employees.
6th April 2017, Kuala Lumpur – EcoKnights continues its effort to engage with corporate organisations and their employees to become more eco conscious and adopt green lifestyle for a sustainable future. This month, the EcoKnights team has kick started an internal sustainability awareness program for Kenanga Investment Bank, namely the Kenanga Earth Month.
The Kenanga Earth Month aims to enhance environmental awareness among the employees and encourage positive behavioural change on sustainability through a month-long campaign. In conjunction with the World Earth Day celebration on April 22nd 2017, this program encourages participation from the Kenanga employees in activities that are related to sustainable living.
“I’m excited to see Kenanga Investment Bank take this green initiative to inspire their employees and engage them in fun green learning opportunities. I see so much potential for the bank to follow up with more employee engagement and raise a generation of bankers with a sustainable mindset. We are thankful to be working with them and hope that we can mobilize more efforts like this with them,” said Puan Yasmin Rashid, President of EcoKnights.
On the first week of April, 6th March 2017, a total of 50 Kenanga employees have participated in the terrarium workshop organized by Malaysian Environmental NGOs (MENGO) to encourage simple green habit at workplace. The workshop is a simple kick-starter pack for employees to start planting and care for Mother Nature – you don’t need a green thumb to grow them!
In the next three weeks, the Kenanga employees will be engaged with more Eco Workshops such as DIY Cleaning Agent: Eco Enzyme and Make Your Own Soap by Reusing Used Cooking Oil. On the 29th of April, there will be an outdoor volunteering program, Plant-A-Tree, in which the Kenanga employees will experience hands-on activities of planting trees and beautifying the area of Sungai Bunus at Kuala Lumpur.
