Knights of Nature Junior Camp for Children of MHHE Employees Organized to Enhance Appreciation for Environment

11-12 June 2015, Pasir Gudang -- Malaysian Marine and Heavy Engineering Berhad of MHHE, recently partnered with EcoKnights to organized a Knights of Nature Junior Camp for the children of their employees.

The camp was held inside the premise of MHHE and was attended by 52 youths between the ages of 13 and 17. 

The objective of the camp was to enhance the appreciation and awareness of the youths about environmental issues and in addition, to engage them in learning about the processes involved in forming their own efforts. 

"One of the key element of the camp was to empower the youths and we did this with a fun process of learning the simple elements of organization and team work," said Puan Yasmin Rasyid, president and founder of EcoKnights. 

Students were required to work in groups of ten where they were tasked to identify environmental issues that concern them in school and at home, and then based on the components taught under the youth empowerment sections, they were required to formulate a solutions-based approach to the said problem. 

The Knights of Nature Camp is EcoKnights' signature and flagship camp that started in 2015 and has since been organized three times a year. The Knights of Nature camp ( is an innovative platform for youths and also primary school children to learn about environment in a fun and interactive way.
