Since the launch of her album Sangkar at the end of March 2007, Atilia, then, the new name in Malaysian Neo-Jazz made several performances and appearances that were well received by the Malaysian public. However, her love for yoga started 10 years ago. She has been practicing ever since. She started Yogaonethatiwant studios in May 2013. Now she has 5. She is planning to open many more studios. She is a certified yoga teacher RYT200 now and her vow is to teach yoga for charity. Forever.
Robyn’s passion for yoga started in 2005 after accompanying her mother to a Hatha Yoga class. She then continued her yoga journey exploring Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga and has trained with David Robson, Anna Sugarman, Jason Milne, Cynthia Naydani and Dylan Werner. After obtaining her 200hr Yoga Alliance Teacher Training with Anna Sugarman in Koh Samui, Thailand, she has taught yoga to children and adults in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong and Malaysia, where she is currently based as a full-time yoga teacher.
“Yoga in Simplicity”
Lay Gaik is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher and an experienced and dedicated teacher, offering her own style of making yoga simple, fun and at the same time adheres to the core yoga principles of physical, mental and spiritual disciplines. She has been practicing yoga since the year 2000 and attributes her wellbeing to her deep practice of yoga. For someone who is in her mid 50s she looks far younger than her age. She believes that yoga and maintaining a healthy eating habit has helped her maintain her youthfulness.
Her approach to yoga is simple. Everyone can practice yoga. All it takes is commitment and the willingness to live a healthy lifestyle. Lay Gaik believes in giving back to the community by performing her social responsibility of promoting yoga and healthy lifestyles to society in general.
