EcoKnights together with Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia (JPS) and ERE Consulting Group (ERE) have conducted a dialogue session on 28th February 2018 at River Basin Management Division JPS which was attended by representatives from 4 educational institutes – Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA Kuala Lumpur, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, Institut Latihan Perindustrian and Kolej Teknologi Antarabangsa Cybernetics.

The dialogue session was led by Assistant Director of the Department of Irrigation and Drainage, Mr. Mohd Asmadi bin Haji Awang Senik. ERE representative Ms Fong Chuen Far, started the dialogue session with a brief explanation about the River of Life (ROL) Project including the project’s area, major components and its current achievement. Mr. Emirul Redzuan representing EcoKnights continued the dialogue session with presentation about Klang Learning, Engagement, and Action on River (KLEAR). The presentation shared the data of Sungai Kerayong’s water quality, water quality index and the related programs under KLEAR.

Each university representative shared his/her thoughts regarding this dialogue session in a positive way. The representatives discussed the need of each university and the capability of their communities to fully participate in ROL. The program will act as a platform for the students to share their idea and take action in creating a healthier riverine environment surrounding the university.
