February 11, 2012, Petaling Jaya - The Anugerah Hijau 2012 free eco talks kick started this year with a two hour talk at Sekolah Menengah Kelana Kaya (SMK Kelana Jaya) for Form 1 and 2 students of the school.
Hosted by Puan Jasmine Cleetus, and also Puan Ratna and Puan Tan, the two hour talk covered the issue of biodiversity, and ways in which students can help protect the country's rich biodiversity.
The talk started with an introduction on what "biodiversity" is and focused on the core threatened animals in Malaysia, namely the Malayan tiger, the orang utan, and turtles.
