KLEFF roadshow heads down South to Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA)

iskandar23 March 2011, Johor Bharu – The Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival screening roadshow went down south of Peninsular Malaysia today. Screening in Johor Bharu for the first time, the KLEFF roadshow was organized by IRDA (Iskandar Regional Development Authority) as part of its internal efforts to raise environmental awareness and consciousness among their employees.

The screening was conducted by EcoKnight Fadly Bakhtiar and screened an award-winning film titled “Bag It”.

“Bag It” tells the story of an average guy makes a resolution to stop using plastic bags at the grocery store. Little does he know that this simple decision will change his life completely. He comes to the conclusion that our consumptive use of plastic has finally caught up to us, and looks at what we can do about it. Watch the trailer here.

About 50 people attended the screening and a short discussion about the film and issues related to sustainable living.

We would like to thank IRDA for kindly hosting the screening and hope that there will be more opportunities to conduct more screenings to wider audiences in the south of the Peninsular.
