Environmental Film Screening at PLUS Expressways Berhad Headquarters

359 PLUS-Expressways2 March, Petaling Jaya - The 2012 Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival community screening headed to the PLUS headquarters near the Subang Kaya toll to screen some local Malaysian environmental films to about 30 PLUS staff.

The screening was the first of its kind at PLUS, and from the responses from the audience, we hope to be heading there soon for more screenings.

Two films were screened and they were WWF Malaysia's and TRAFFIC SEA's "On Borrowed Time" and Novista's "Among the Great Apes".

A short discussion was held after the screening where the audience (see picture below) inquired about government initiatives in addressing wildlife and illegal poaching in Malaysia. Citing international wildlife criminal Anson Wong as an example, the international crisis of illegal wildlife smuggling, a multi-billion dollar industry, will proliferate if the general population are not aware or sensitive to this happening right nder our noses.

Ecoknights would like to thank all the staff who helped arrange for this screening at PLUS and also for supporting EcoKnights efforts through the purchase of the limited edition EcoKnights car sticker.
