14 March 2012, Kuala Lumpur - The KLEFF roadshow continued at UCSI University today.
Conducted by EcoKnight Fadly Bakhtiar, the roadshow started with a brief introduction to the KLEFF with an emphasis on this year's call for entries.
About 100 students from the School of Mass Communication, the School of Design (3D Animation & Fashion) attended the talk and roadshow screening.
A short film by Shobaan Pillay titled "The Chase" was screened to the audience followed by a quick introduction to the KLEFF website and submission process. The audience were also introduce to several of the local films that were showcased in last year's festival. This serves as a great motivation to encourage more young university students to explore using film as a communication tool for environmental actions.
This roadshow and screening is part of the KLEFF outreach and promotion programme to bring KLEFF closer to youths in the country. With some creative ideas, the KLEFF aims to encourage more young Malaysians to play a positive role in environmental conservation through films.
Fadly also briefly introduced the audience to EcoKnights' on going effort called Anugerah Hijau, which is a nationwide competition for youths to be the country's next eco warrior in three competitive categories: GREEN FILM, GREEN SPACE and GREEN FASHION. Information about the competition were distributed to the audience to encourage them to be part of this nationwide hunt for creative ideas in solving environmental issues.
